The Tennessee Titans are currently tied for first place in the AFC South with the Indianapolis Colts with a 3-1 record after dominating the Jets on Sunday, but the team will now be without their starting quarterback in Jake Locker after he suffered an injury.

According to ESPN.com, Locker was injured in the game against the Jets and while nothing is completely certain yet, reports say that he could be out for up to two months with a hip injury. The report says that Locker was injured after being hit by Muhammad Wilkerson and that his right hip could be seriously injured, although it was reported that the injury appears to not be a season ending one, keeping hope that Locker could return soon before the season ends.

Ryan Fitzpatrick took over in the game and he likely will be the start moving forward after he signed in the offseason with the Titans after being released by the Bills. Locker was playing well this season and now that will be derailed a bit and it takes some of the happiness away from the team after dominating in a 38-13 victory against the Jets. According to ESPN.com, the first x-rays on his hip came back negative and chances are his injury will get looked at again before the team officially rules him out for a period of time.

Another major injury occurred on Sunday in the night game, as Patriots star defensive tackle Vince Wilfork was injured and reportedly tore his Achilles. According to ESPN.com, Wilfork likely will be out for the season and the injury occurred early in the game and while Wilfork was able to get off the field on his own, it appears his season is done. Wilfork is one of the best players on defense for the Patriots and now he will be out for the season, adding to the list of players New England has lost to injury already, including Danny Amendola and Shane Vereen.

Locker was looking like a much improved player from last season and before getting injured he tossed three touchdowns in the game and was solid with just six incompletions on 24 passes to start with 149 yards. The Titans have a solid running back n Chris Johnson and Fitzpatrick is a decent backup, but without Locker the team could have a hard time keeping things up. Fitz came into the game and added another touchdown and passed for over 100 yards.
