The Dallas Cowboys are in first place in the NFC East after going 2-1 over their first three games and now the team will face a west coast trip as they head to San Diego to play the Chargers in one of the late afternoon games on FOX at 4:25 pm for Week 4 of the NFL schedule.

Tony Romo has been playing fantastic over the first three games and despite losing 17-16 to the Kansas City Chiefs two weeks ago, the team is riding high after a dominating 31-7 victory over the St. Louis Rams and now the team will take on Philip Rivers and the Chargers. The team defeated the Giants after forcing six turnovers to hang on at 36-31 and then the team lost for the Chiefs before defeating the Rams. The next game on the schedule continues the AFC West tour and the home game against the Denver Broncos won't make things easy with Peyton Manning slinging it hard this season.

The team then will play the Washington Redskins next in a divisional matchup before playing the first of two road games, one against the Philadelphia Eagles and then the team will play the Detroit Lions at Ford Field in Week 8. The team hosts the Vikings next at home and then travels for a big game against the New Orleans Saints on the road on Sunday night in Week 10 and that leads into the bye week.

The team plays on the road against the New York Giants in Week 12 out of the bye and that will be a big test for the Giants and then the team hosts the Oakland Raiders in the Thursday Thanksgiving matchup in Week 13. The team will play the Chicago Bears after a long week on Monday night football on ESPN and then the schedule continues to get tough, as the Green Bay Packers will come and visit Dallas.

The team ends the season with two divisional games, with the Washington Redskins and the Philadelphia Eagles on the docket for Week 16 and 17 and it remains to be seen where the Cowboys will be at the end of the year. The past two seasons, the Dallas Cowboys have been in position to win the division with a victory in Week 17, but they lost to the Giants and the Redskins and now they will finish against the Eagles.

The Cowboys are in the middle of the pack rankings wise on offense with the 18th ranked passing attack and the 17th ranked rushing attack on yards per game and the team is gaining over 350 yards total per game. The defense has been solid against the run, allowing less than 70 yards per game, while the team is ranked 23rd in passing yards with over 270 allowed per game.
