New York Knicks Rumors: Andrea Bargnani Back To Practicing

Sep 24, 2013 10:31 AM EDT

Newly acquired New York Knicks forward Andrea Bargnani is back to the practice floor after taking a while off while battling pneumonia.

Bargnani was on the court Monday playing with his teammates during informal workouts at the Knicks' training facility in Greenburgh, NY on Monday.

"He looked good" Raymond Felton said at an Under Armour event at Macy's in Manhattan. "He's been really sick though. ... He's a little winded right now."

It's obvious for Bargnani to be a bit out of shape being that he hasn't been able to play basketball for at least five weeks. He was forced to forgo playing for the Italian national team in the EuroBasket tournament because of complications with pneumonia.

Felton added that Bargnani looked strong while playing pickup basketball with his teammates.

"That guy looked great in my opinion" Felton said. "Everything that I was hoping that he was going to do he kind of did it the first day we played pickup. So that kind of made me excited as a point guard."

Bargnani, who was acquired in a trade with the Toronto Raptors, will have to work his way back into playing shape during the Knicks' training camp and preseason.

Felton eventually believes Bargnani can be a supplemental replacement for the loss of Rasheed Wallace.

"A seven-footer that can always space the floor," Felton said. "That's a big help to our team, I think."
