The Oakland Athletics have clinched the AL West title for the second straight year and will look to keep the momentum as they meet the Los Angeles Angels on the road Monday at 10:05 p.m. ET.

The Athletics won the crown after a win on Sunday against the Minnesota Twins and with Texas Rangers loss to the Kansas City Royals. After winning the crown Oakland celebrated in the clubhouse and on the field with beer and champagne.
"The only bad part about this is our clubhouse is going to stink for about two weeks," right fielder Josh Reddick said.
The Athletics moved a season-high 30 games over .500 by winning 13 of 16, and are now vying for a playoff seed. They trail AL East-champion the Boston Red Sox by 1 ½ games for the league's best record and have two-game edge over Central-leading Detroit Tigers for home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
"I think last year we surprised a lot of people," third baseman Josh Donaldson said. "I think this year we're an all-around better team and we feel like we belong."
The A's were scheduled to give the ball to A.J. Griffin, but are now expected to turn to Tommy Milone (11-9, 4.17) with the division wrapped up.
