The Denver Broncos host the Oakland Raiders as both teams close up Week 3 with their Monday Night Football game from Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Can't watch the game? The challengers A.K.A, the Raiders, who are visiting Mile High, might be the best defense the Broncos have seen so far in 2013. The Raiders have a Top 10 defense and though it's too early to know if they are serious or not, they might have a chance to pressure Peyton Manning and this dynamic Broncos' offense.
Oakland's opponents are averaging 15 points and 261 total yards of offense through the first two weeks of the season. Okay, so they played the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2, they held the Indianapolis Colts to just 21 points, which is an impressive number granted that they can light up the scoreboard. The Raiders will have to multiply this effort by two, as the Broncos offense is nothing to play with.
At this pace, Manning will break the single-season touchdown record for a quarterback, held by Tom Brady. Manning has thrown for nine touchdowns in 2013, lighting up the scoreboard against the Baltimore Ravens and the New York Giants. Super Bowl champions? Little brother playing on the opposing team? Manning has not cared about anything, except where he can find the open receiver for the score.
The Broncos will have to be on their giddy-up as the Raiders' rushing game is tops in the NFL. They are currently in second place, rushing for close to 200 yards per game. Their passing game is mediocre, but if the Broncos focus too much on the run, Terrelle Pryor could make them pay over the air. However, chances are the running game will be where most of the Raiders' offense comes from tonight.
