Minnesota Vikings Rumors: Adrian Peterson Not Satisfied With 0-2 Record, Ready For Breakout Fantasy Game Against Cleveland Browns?

The Minnesota Vikings are not off to the best start after going 0-2 over their first two games and reigning MVP Adrian Peterson feels the same way about himself despite the fact that he has gained nearly 200 yards in that span.

According to Pro Football Talk, Peterson spoke to  the Minneapolis Star-Tribune about the start of the season and how he has played and he said that he feels he could have been "better" over the past two games and that he left some plays and some yards on the field and he will try to make up for it in Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns, who are now down their starting running back after trading Trent Richardson.

Peterson rushed for over 2,000 yards last season and while he had over 100 against the Bears on Sunday, he feels that he needs to improve more to get back into the same groove he had last season while going crazy. The team is ranked 10th in the league in rushing over the first two games on average, but Peterson says he can play better and the team desperately needs a win on Sunday, as they would drop to 0-3 with the Steelers coming in Week 4 before their bye.

The first game of the season saw Peterson rush for 78-yards on his first carry against the Lions for a touchdown and while he ended up with two touchdowns on the ground and one in the air, he still was not totally satisfied with his performance. Peterson gained over five yards per carry in that game so he clearly has a high standard for himself and he also added four catches for 18 yards in that contest to open the season.

While he rushed for 100 yards against the Chicago Bears in Week 2, he only averaged 3.8 yards per carry on 26 carries and now he will get the chance against a Browns team that is reeling after trading Trent Richardson to the Colts. The team likely will be a nit demoralized even though the front office says it isn't giving up on the season yet, but that could mean a big game from Peterson, especially if he not satisfied with his production so far.
