EuroBasket Schedule 2013: Quarterfinals Wednesday On ESPN3 As NBA Spurs Tony Parker Leads France In Loss To Serbia

The EuroBasket championships in Europe saw Serbia finish on top of Tony Parker and the France team on Sunday, winning by over 10 points to put the team in first place in their group for the tournament and sets them up to head to the next round in the quarterfinals.

France was the favorite heading into the game and lost after Parker scored 10 points and was outplayed by his counterpart that is going to the NBA next season with the Warriors. Parker played for the French team after losing in the NBA finals to the Miami Heat and Serbia won following a victory by Belgium and there was another game that saw Lithuania defeat Ukraine to help set things up for the next round.

Serbia and France are already advancing to the next round and in the other group, Italy and Croatia are also into the next round. The quarterfinals start up on Wednesday with a number of games on ESPN3 and there are still games to be played on Monday, including Croatia and Greece, Italy and Spain as well as Finland and Slovenia. The championship will come on Sunday and can be watched on ESPNews and on WatchESPN as well.

The games left on Monday include Italy and Spain and Finland against Slovenia and the quarterfinals will start up on Wednesday and will continue through the week. The tournament will turn more serious on Friday with two semifinals games and then on Saturday the games for the fifth through eighth place teams will get set and then Sunday will be the big day. The championships are on Sunday around 3 pm and the third place game will also come on Sunday before the championship.
