WELCOME TO THIS LIVE BLOG! We will be bringing a play-by-play until the half and then providing a link that will bring you the updates******

The Green Bay Packers open their season up at Lambeau Field as they host the Washington Redskins in Week 2 of the NFL's regular season. Can't watch the game? Check out this live blog wit play-by-play and commentary as two of the NFL's most popular teams face off Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

The Packers and Redskins both lost their season openers after being beaten by conference and division rivals. The Packers suffered a tough loss at the hands of San Francisco 49ers, who eliminated Green Bay from the 2012 playoffs. The final scoreboard read 34-28 in favor of the 49ers as the Packers were not helped by the officiating once again.

The Redskins looked extremely feeble against the Philadelphia Eagles, but somehow, they managed to make it a game. The Redskins lost 33-27 after trailing 26-7 at the half. The NFL found out just how deadly a talented Eagles squad is under the direction of new head coach Chip Kelly. The Redskins put up a great fight in the second half, but ultimately, they succumbed in the final minutes as they had dug themselves in too big of a hole.

Both the Packers and Redskins have great offensive weapons. Aaron Rodgers is the mastermind for the Packers at the QB position and though only in his second year in the NFL, Robert Griffin III has playmaking abilities beyond belief. On defense, Clay Matthews is the heart and soul for the Packers, while the Redskins have a couple of guys they depend on, but London Fletcher, the 16-year veteran is their commander and chief on the field.

We know one thing for sure, one of these teams will walk out of Lambeau Field with a victory. They have already given up on possibly going for a perfect season, but they are both divisional favorites in the NFC North and East and they will defend their crowns in 2013.
