The New York Jets travel to Gillette Stadium where they will face the New England Patriots in Thursday Night Football's Week 2 matchup. Check out the time and channel info regarding this AFC East game that will surely have people talking on Friday.

Kickoff Time: 8:25 p.m. ET

Channel- Where to Watch: NFL Network

The Jets are looking to get off to a fast start. A 2013 season off to a 2-0 start after a victory over the New England Patriots will do the trick. New York is hoping Geno Smith can once again give them a solid performance after a great NFL debut on Sunday.

Smith led the Jets to victory. He had the stats to back up his performance and a key run that eventually helped the Jets win the game. Did the Jets get lucky? Yes. However, Smith had the presence of mind to run the ball for the first down and get out of bounds before he was tackled. By the time Lavonte David reached Smith, the Jets' quarterback was well out of bounds. The tackle cost the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a penalty, the game and David earned himself a fine from the NFL. It was truly a costly tackle.

Furthermore, Smith passed for 256 yards, completing 24 of 38 passes while completing a touchdown and throwing an interception. He added 47 yards rushing, totaling 303 yards of offense for the Jets.

The Jets will try to defeat the Patriots after being swept in 2013. The first matchup last year was pretty close as the scoreboard red 29-26 in the Patriots' favor. The second game, on Thanksgiving Day, was a pure nightmare for the Jets. In fact, it was so bad, it must not be discussed since the highlight of Mark Sanchez slipping under his own man is still pretty clear on everybody's mind.

We know it's early, but after their Week 1 one, the Jets are atop of the AFC East, tied with the Patriots and Miami Dolphins as all three teams won their season openers. The Jets will have to rally past the Patriots and their fans Thursday night if they want to win this game, but the good news is Danny Amendola and Shane Vereen appear to be injured, disabling them from playing in tonight's ball game.

If you can't watch the show, join Sports World Report during game time as we will provide a live blog with play-by-play and color commentary.

This should be a great match as these AFC East rivals hook up for their first meeting in 2013.
