Ndamukong Suh Hit Gets $100,000 Fine: Detroit Lions Star Penalized For John Sullivan Block Against Minnesota Vikings

Ndamukong Suh is no stranger to controversial hits and after his antics on Sunday against the Vikings, he was pegged with another fine for his hit against the Minnesota Vikings in a win for the Lions.

According to ESPN.com, the league is going to fine Suh $100,000 for his hit on center Jonathan Sullivan and this comes after he was previously fined last year and the season before for his style of play in the Thanksgiving game for the Lions. That hit came after he tried to kick quarterback Matt Schaub in the groin and now this one comes after he went low on Sullivan against the Vikings when the Lions were trying to return an interception and after the game players came out against Suh, with Sullivan saying he was out of the play.

The Lions won by the score of 34-24, but Suh now will have to pay and this is nothing new for the former Nebraska star, who has been criticized by some in the league for playing beyond the rules when it comes to hitting other players. Usually Suh gets attention for hitting quarterbacks, but this play snagged the media spotlight after the game when Sullivan said that players need to be aware of other players careers when they are making plays.

Sullivan said that he was fine after speaking with Suh, who apologized and he added that it was a good thing he said something and now the two players are fine.

"He apologized and said there was no intent to injure. It's fine,'' he said. "I think guys get caught up in the play sometimes. So, sometimes things happen. It's hard to even remember what you do when you get caught up in the moment. I appreciate the fact that he came up to me and said something, yeah.''
