The San Francisco 49ers will take all their talents and hopes into the 2013 season. Don't miss Week 1's meeting against the Green Bay Packers Sunday afternoon. Here is the time, channel and matchup breakdown as both teams go head-to-head for the first time since their NFC Divisional matchup where Colin Kaepernick put on a show.

The Packers had a horrendous preseason. Once again, they will put their hopes on the shoulders of Aaron Rodgers, who has consistently been one of the best quarterbacks in the game. Since taking over for a football legend, Rodgers has done nothing but lead the Packers to greatness. Last year, they fell a little short, but their defense once again betrayed them in the postseason.

The 49ers are coming off a 2012 campaign and offseason that was full of drama. The team was easily able to adjust to having Kaepernick take over the offense as the 25-year-old took the team straight to the Super Bowl. Alex Smith was benched following a concussion and, following the conclusion of the 2012 season, he became a member of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The 49ers are a favorite out of the NFC, not only the West division, but the league as a whole. They are slotted for another Super Bowl run, especially after their acquisition on Anquan Boldin, giving Kaepernick a veteran target down field. The Packers, on the other hand, have a lot to prove if they want to end up playing the 49ers in the playoffs. They remain the favorite in the NFC North, but they will need to improve their running game, distracting defenses from Rodgers.
