WR Rankings Top 50 Fantasy Football Season 2013

Sep 05, 2013 12:23 PM EDT

The fantasy football season is heading towards a full swing with the preseason in the NFL moving into Week 4 and with drafts heating up, owners are looking for value and studs around the draft and one position that is very deep in 2013 is the wideout position, with names like Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall and Dez Bryant at the top of the list.

Wideouts are obviously more valuable in PPR leagues (points per reception for any newbies), making Calvin Johnson a top three pick in those leagues, but he also should be a top pick in regular leagues. Johnson put up some ridiculous numbers two years ago and with the Lions adding Reggie Bush to the offense, the passing game should open up even more for Megatron. AJ Green and Dez Bryant are very safe picks at the top and the position is very deep this year, including with sleepers.

Greg Jennings was a solid fantasy receiver for many years for the Green Bay Packers, but after dealing with injuries and playing in only eight games, he had just four touchdowns and 366 yards. This season he could actually end up being one of the best sleepers in fantasy if he can stay healthy, as he will be the number one option for the Vikings after the team traded away Percy Harvin in the offseason.

TY Hilton is a player to watch as well, with Andrew Luck developing in his second year and after Hilton had a breakout season with 50 catches for 861 yards and seven touchdowns, he is a player that could produce again. Hilton also has the big play factor after coming in with five games of 100-yards or more and with the additions of Ahmad Bradshaw and Darrius Heyward-Bey in the offense, he could put up even better numbers. Randall Cobb for the Packers could be an excellent option in deeper leagues and even though he is dealing with some injuries in the preseason, he should be set as a number one option in the offense for owners.
