Trent Richardson, Josh Gordon and Brandon Weeden Best Fantasy Football Draft Options For Cleveland Browns In 2013

The Cleveland Browns were one of the most inconsistent offensive teams in the NFL last season, but after bringing in Rob Chudzinski as the new head coach and Norv Turner at offensive coordinator, players Trent Richardson, Josh Gordon and Brandon Weeden should all put up better numbers than last season.

Richardson is a fantasy stud despite dealing with some injury issues and after rushing for 950 yards and 11 touchdowns as a rookie, he is expected to be one of the top rushers in the NFL this season. There really isn't much behind him depth wise and Richardson is a tough and fast runner that could end up leading the league depending on how things play out. Making Richardson even more valuable is the fact that he can catch the ball out of the backfield.

Richardson is a top five pick in PPR leagues and after making 51 catches for 367 yards and one touchdown, he could end up making even more receptions this season under Turner. Weeden will be continuing to get better and Richardson comes back after being the third most targeted player by Weeden from last season. The Browns want to be more balanced rushing the ball and that all starts with Richardson.

Weeden is not a top 10 choice for a fantasy quarterback, but he is a solid late round option and a solid backup option in deeper leagues after throwing for 3,385 yards and 14 touchdowns and under Chud, that should get better. Chud is considered a QB guru and an offensive minded coach after working with Cam Newton and Weeden could benefit greatly from his system. Weeden is hurt with depth at receiver, as there isn't much past Josh Gordon and Greg Little, but he does have a sleeper tight end in Cameron Jordan that could put up some big numbers.

Gordon could be a solid sleeper option in deeper leagues after getting suspended for two games for drug use, as he was the leading receiver last season with 50 catches for 805 yards and five touchdowns and he is a big play threat after averaging over 16 yards per catch. Little is a solid option as well, but Gordon had the most targets of any player on the team last season and when he comes back he could put up some solid numbers with Weeden.
