The college football season is ready to start on Thursday night and there are plenty of exciting games to watch out for, including the South Carolina Gamecocks and the North Carolina Tar Heels kicking off the season before USC plays Hawaii later in the night.

The first night has some okay games before Friday, but it's the Saturday games that will be best. The Thursday games include some big teams playing, including Rutgers at Fresno State, USC at Hawaii, Towson at Connecticut, Illinois State at Ball State, UNLV at Minnesota and Ole Miss at Vanderbilt.

On Friday the games aren't so hit, but the canes will be in action with Florida Atlantic at Miami (FL) as well as Texas Tech at Southern Methodist on ESPN. On Saturday some of the top games include Buffalo at No. 2 Ohio State, Mississippi State vs. No. 13 Oklahoma State, Rice at No. 7 Texas A&M, Louisiana Tech at North Carolina State, Syracuse vs. Penn State, Florida International at Maryland, No. 1 Alabama vs. Virginia Tech and the best matchup is No. 5 Georgia at No. 8 Clemson as well as No. 12 LSU vs. No. 20 TCU.
