Seattle Seahawks Schedule: Perfect NFL Preseason Awaits Coach Carroll and Co.?

Aug 28, 2013 12:27 PM EDT

What are the Oakland Raiders going to do? The Seattle Seahawks are 3-0 in the NFL Preseason. Okay, it's exhibition football, but this also means they are doing the right things and everybody is already on the same page. The Seahawks could go a perfect 4-0 in the preseason and this would be dangerous for the rest of the NFL.

The reason why we can almost confidently expect the Seahawks to win against the Raiders is because they will be playing at home. Cue in the 12th man. If you're a player trying to get on the roster and Thursday is your last chance, you will use that 12th man to boost your spirits. The Seahawks are the most complete team in football as the regular season comes in to play.

They played a close game against the Green Bay Packers in Week 3 of the NFL Preseason, but their defense smothered the Packers like they have done to every other team. The Seahawks offense was tamed, but they scored enough points late in the game to take the 17-10 victory.

Is there anything the Seahawks have to worry about? Actually yes, hold your horses Seattle fans. Russell Wilson went a decent 11/17 for 126 passing yards, but he also threw two interceptions. However, Christine Michael, the rookie running back out of Texas A&M put on a show, going for 97 yards and a touchdown in 11 carries. He took a 43-yarder in for the score. Stephen Williams also wound up in the end zone after a 42-yard completion from Brady Quinn that took him all the way. He finished with two receptions for 58 yards.

The Seahawks play the Raiders, who have lost back-to-back meetings, but at least they're putting up points. They scored 19 against the Dallas Cowboys, 20 against the New Orleans Saints and 26 against the Chicago Bears.

Though the New York Jets are attracting all the attention regarding quarterback talks, the Raiders' QB race is pretty interesting. They acquired Matt Flynn from the Seahawks over the break, but it's been all rookie Matthew McGloin out of Penn State so far in the preseason. He leads the team in passing yards, touchdowns and unfortunately interceptions as well. However, he's been able to avoid the sack at a higher rate than Flynn, hitting the ground for a loss of yardage just twice, while Flynn has been sacked seven times.

There's also Terrelle Pryor, who has put up decent numbers (14/24, 190 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT) so far in the preseason. The Raiders will have to decide who they will give the ball to in Week 1 as the regular season is about a week away.
