Los Angeles Lakers Rumors: Lamar Odom Still Wants To Rejoin Lakers Franchise Despite His Off-The-Court Struggles

Aug 26, 2013 09:16 AM EDT

After having an ugly divorce with the Los Angeles Lakers, it has been reported that former Sixth Man of the Year, Lamar Odom, wants to rejoin the Lakers franchise.

Odom's life has continued to spiral out of control since leaving the Lakers, and now he's currently struggling to save his marriage with reality star, Khloe Kardashian.

Reportedly, Odom has abusing hardcore drugs while being unreachable, and has his fans and family worried about the direction this may be headed.

Currently there are all sorts of rumors floating around about what he may or may not be doing as he has been reported missing for three days, however, a contact close to him in New York says the two-time NBA champion still wants to become a member of the Lakers according to Jared Zwerling of ESPNNewYork.com via Twitter:

After a disappointing season with the Dallas Mavericks and a mediocre season with the Los Angeles Clippers, Odom has been left to contemplate his immediate future in the NBA as a free agent. He's received interest from both the Lakers and the Clippers but has reportedly been on the fence in terms of deciding on which of the two teams he would sign with.

The Clippers appeared to be ready to sign Odom to the veteran's minimum while keeping former Laker Antawn Jamison in limbo. As for the Lakers, the team expressed interest in the Odom, but have seemingly moved on signing rookie forward Elias Harris recently.
