The Aaron Hernandez murder case moved along to its next stage on Thursday, as the former Patriots tight end was in court for a probable cause hearing and he also was indicted officially for the murder of Odin Lloyd and the case will move to superior court and he will be arraigned sometime in the coming weeks.

According to SI.com legal write Michael McCann, the indictment for Hernandez includes him being charged with murder, carrying firearm without a license, possession of high capacity firearm as well as possession of a firearm and ammunition and the DA said that the case is ongoing and that means his girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins could face charges if police believe she hampered the investigation or helped dispose of evidence.

Hernandez is back in jail after the probable cause hearing and he was in court for 10 minutes as the hearing proceeded and now he will be back in court sometime later in the month. The indictment says that Hernandez may have beaten Lloyd before killing him and the DA said that he will be satisfied when the case is over and justice is served. Jenkins was looked at by police after she was spotted possibly taking weapons out of the house and they used that as a reason to search a storage unit in her name.

Hernandez is facing life in prison for the charges and he has pleaded not guilty and he appeared in court with a suit jacket and no tie and he mouthed words to his family while in court. Odin Lloyd's family was in court as well on Thursday and the legal team for Hernandez continued to try and argue for a fair trial. Many feel that Hernandez can't get a fair trial because of who he is and he was originally denied bail because he had the means and the reasoning to possibly flee.

Warrants were released over the summer that showed Hernandez agitated and not cooperating with police and eventually he changed his tune. Jenkins also previously spoke to police before he told her to stop and she is the main connection between Hernandez and Lloyd, as her sister was reportedly dating Lloyd at the time of his death and all four were considered friends and made plans together.

Lawyers said a dispute at a nightclub led to the murder of Lloyd, and other reports said that it could be tied to a double murder. Hernandez is being looked at in that case and one report says that Lloyd may have been killed for knowing information about that murder.
