Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant and his wife, Vanessa, have reportedly put their home on the market in Newport Coast for $8.599 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The house was built in 1997 and rest on a half-acre. The Mediterranean style home is located in a gated community at the end of the cul-de-sac. There is an 850-square-foot gym, a hair salon, a paneled office/library with a shark tank, a theater, four bedrooms and seven bathrooms in the two-story house. The grounds include a swimming pool and spa, lawn, a fire pit and an outdoor kitchen.

The house is being listed by Jordan Cohen of Re/Max Olson & Associates.

The property last sold for $1.7 million in 1997, public records show. They own other real estate in the area.

Bryant is currently recovering from surgery to his torn left Achilles. It was previously reported that Bryant was ahead of schedule in coming back from the surgery and that he's "shattered" the timetable that would traditionally be associated with such an injury of that magnitude.

"We don't know" Bryant told the gathered reporters. "That's the thing about this injury is that the surgical procedure was different how we did it was different. Because of that the recovery has been different the timetable has been different the normal timetable for recovering from an Achilles we've shattered that. Three-and-a-half months I can already walk just fine I am lifting weight just fine. So we don't know what that timetable is going to be this is new territory for us all."

Bryant added:

"The surgical procedure was different [...] and because of that the recovery has been different," Bryant said in the southern city of Shenzhen. "The normal timetable for recovery from an Achilles, we've shattered that. Three-and-a-half months I can already walk just fine, I'm lifting weights with the Achilles just fine and that's different. So we don't know what that timetable is going to be. It's kind of new territory for us all."
