Manchester United Transfer Rumors: David Moyes Wants To Improve Midfield And Now Has Mesut Ozil In Sight With Marouane Fellaini As His Second Option

New Manchester United boss David Moyes is weighing his options and could be planning to make a move for Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil.

Moyes has been trying to improve the strength of the clubs center field, but has been doing so with little success, and Ozil fits the qualifications he's looking for to do so. It's believed that United will have to persuade Real to sell, but doing so may actually benefit the Spanish giants balance the books after a big summer of transfers.

Especially if Real manages to complete a bid for Tottenham's Gareth Bale, which would likely be a world-record deal worth at least £80million.

United have also set their targets on Everton's midfield powerhouse Marouane Fellaini, but would prefer a technical player as well.

"I'm confident we'll have players in before the start of the season, yeah," said the United boss on Thursday.

"We're involved in several players we're looking at and that will continue. Will we get them before the deadline? I hope so. But we're working very hard to do so.

"This was always going to be a difficult window for me personally, because I joined Manchester United on July 1.

"So that's given you a short period [in which to do deals] and also to get to know the players, to get to know the market."
