Mark Cuban is never one to hide his opinions on anything. The always vocal Dallas Mavericks owner loves to be outspoken on topics that might not even concern him. While making an appearance on Jay Leno's Tonight Show, Cuban was asked about the recent suspension brought down on New York Yankees' Alex Rodriguez. Cuban responded the only way he knew how.

"Horrible. I think it's disgraceful what Major League Baseball is trying to do. It's not that he doesn't deserve to be suspended, he does ...It's basically become Bud Selig's "mafia." He runs it the way he wants to run it. When I was trying to buy the Rangers, it was an open auction. And I sat in there with my good hard-earned money trying to bid and they did everything possible to keep me from buying the team. They had lawyers in their trying to change the rules, they had people trying to put up more money. It was horrible," Cuban responded in a long rant.

Cuban's thought's on Bud Selig and the MLB in general really come of no surprise. The owner attempted several times to get into an ownership circle with a baseball franchise. He attempted to buy the Chicago Cubs back in 2009, but was not selected in the final bidding war for the team. He then attempted in 2010, Cuban was once again pulled out for the bidding in the Texas Rangers. His $600 million offer was dropped in favor of Nolan Ryan's $593 million bid. So the fact that Cuban is using words like "mafia" when describing Selig, no one can really be too surprised.

Rodriguez was hit with a suspension that will last the entire 2014 baseball season after the league also penalized 13 other players following the investigation of the Biogenesis of America clinic in Miami. The other 12 players suspended for the remainder of the season accepted the penalty while Rodriguez formally submitted an appeal. He is being allowed to finish out the year with the Yankees.

He returned to the diamond this week where he was met with a shower of boos from fans. Monday night was Rodriguez's first game back since undergoing hip surgery in January. He has gone 2-for-6 with a walk in his first two games back. The Yankees begin a three-game series against the Detroit Tigers on Friday.
