The final major of the year has arrived on the schedule and with the PGA Championships starting at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester on Thursday, Tiger Woods will have one final chance in 2013 to win a major and after playing extremely well last week and winning the WGC Bridgestone Invitational, Woods will be looked at as the favorite again and now Mickelson will tee off at 1:45 PM.

Woods finished in the top 10 at both the Masters and the Open Championship before having a rough go of it at the US Open and now he will have the chance to break his major drought since winning back in 2008 at the US Open. Phil Mickelson is coming off of a major victory and will be looked as a favorite as well now that he is ranked number two in the world alongside Woods and he also has won multiple times on tour this year. Woods has won five times one tour this year after taking the Bridgestone for the eighth time in his career and now he is just three victories away from tying Sam Snead's record of 82. Woods has been playing much better overall this year than he has in recent years and he appears primed for a win at the Championship.

Woods' streak has gone 17 majors now without a victory and he came close at the Masters after finishing fourth behind winner Adam Scott at four strokes back and he is hoping for a similar performance at Oak Hill. Woods is looking to play better golf during the Saturday and Sunday rounds and he had some fantastic shots last week at the Bridgestone, especially in the second round when he flirted with a record 59 and ended up with a score of 61. Woods won at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the WGC Cadillac Championship and after dominating at the Bridgestone he appears ready to win another major.

Mickelson comes into the PGA Championship after winning the US Open and now has 42 career wins on tour compared to the 79 Woods has. Both players will be the focus at Oak Hill and if either win it would be a fantastic finish to the major championship calendar, with either Woods snapping his streak of Mickelson going two in a row. Woods tees off early from the 10th hole at 8:35 AM et.
