Things couldn't be going better for the Detroit Tigers. They entered Monday just three games up on the Cleveland Indians and now their lead is five games. The Tigers will attempt to win their 11th straight game, while the Indians hope to end Detroit's winning streak. Watch this game online at 7:05 p.m. ET as MLB.TV will provide the live online stream.

A red hot Doug Fister takes the hill for Detroit. The last time Fister lost a game, the summer was just beginning. Since June 21, Fister is 4-0 with a 3.26 ERA in seven starts. He's pitched at least six innings in every one of these starts, allowing two or fewer earned runs in five of the seven starts. In his last two starts, he's pitched 16 innings of one run ball with eight strikeouts and one walk.

He will look to improve on his last start against the Indians. Back on July 7, the Tribe tagged Fister for six earned runs in six innings pitched after hitting three home runs. He received the no-decision as the Tigers' bats came to life in that game. However, the Tigers lost that game.

Danny Salazar will take the hill for the Indians. He's making his first start for Cleveland since July 11, his major league debut. The 23-year-old out of the Dominican Republic won that start, pitching six innings of one-run ball, allowing just three Toronto Blue Jays on base while striking out seven of them. He will have to bring some of that game to Progressive Field as the Tigers are the second hottest team in baseball behind only the Atlanta Braves, who have won 12 consecutive games.

A win today can get the Indians back to just four games behind the Tigers. Meanwhile, Detroit will be attempting to put the division further out of reach. A victory for the Tigers gets them a six-game lead.
