Aaron Hernandez Search Warrants Update: Odin Lloyd Had Rental Car Keys As Murder Victim Found With Access To Chevrolet Suburban, More Court Details Released

Aaron Hernandez was back in court this week before his probable cause hearing was delayed and after appearing a number of new documents related to search warrants were released and it was revealed that the victim Odin Lloyd had keys to a black Chevrolet Suburban that Hernandez had rented when he was found dead a mile from the former Patriots tight end's home.

According to ESPN.com, Lloyd, who was killed on June 17, had the keys on him when he was found and information also showed that he spoke with Hernandez through text messages that night. The tight end is tied to the murder through numerous pieces of evidence, including photos, text messages, surveillance and clothing as well as eye witness testimony. Lloyd was found in an industrial park near Hernandez's home and he was later arrested and charged with first degree murder in the crime.

The Patriots released him on June 26 soon after he was arrested and so far Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to the charges and he could be facing life in prison. Authorities are also thinking of possibly charging him in the murder of two men in Boston that may have been related to this crime. The Patriots spoke about Hernandez this week as they started training camp and the main message was to move on and keep things going forward as they try to distance themselves from Hernandez.

Thursday saw 100 new pages of documents released about the crime and details include that Lloyd was shot five times and that two bullets passed through his body and that Hernandez and Lloyd had a dispute a few days before the murder. The tight end was painted as the orchestrator of the crime and that the dispute came from an argument the two had a nightclub when Lloyd spoke to the wrong people, possibly connected to that double murder from last July.

Two other men have been taken into custody in connection with the case. Ernest Wallace, who is suspected of being an "accessory after the fact," turned himself in to police in Miramar, Florida, last month. Another man, Carlos Ortiz, was arrested in Connecticut on charges of being a fugitive from justice.

Hernandez, 23, had been a rising young star in the NFL who had signed a $41 million contract with one of the league's top franchises before his arrest.

Patriots Coach Bill Belichick on Wednesday made his first remarks on the case, saying that the team had been "shocked and disappointed" by the news.
