Aaron Hernandez is locked up in jail in solitary confinement for his own safety and along with that, he is allowed visits from his girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins and baby Avielle Janelle, but so far the sheriff has not confirmed who has come to see the former Patriots star and he will be back in the public eye next week as he has another court appearance schedule.
According to the Boston Herald, Hernandez will be in court for a probable cause hearing next week and at that appearance more details may come out about the murder case. So far, numerous pieces of information have been released after a 156-page document was unsealed by the court and it showed that Hernandez was agitated with police and that he also told his girlfriend not to speak with the cops after she started to do so, telling them that she thought Odin Lloyd was into drugs.
Hernandez was arrested for the murder of Lloyd two weeks ago and was immediately dismissed from the Patriots and now he is facing life in prison for the charges and he could be facing another investigation in a double murder in Boston last year. Hernandez has also been accused of shooting a man and the details of his life playing with the Florida Gators have found more incidents as well.
The defense says that the case is circumstantial, but there is plenty of evidence, including shell casings, clothing, cell phone messages as well as eye witness testimony from two accomplices in Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace. Hernandez is in a tough situation now and he could end up spending the rest of his life behind bars and he is in solitary now to protect him from the other inmates and that could last until the trial. It allows him three hours outside his cell and the other 21 he spends alone.
Hernandez and Lloyd have known each other for two years and his fiance Shayanna Jenkins' sister was dating Odin Lloyd and her name is Shanea, while there also is a third younger sibling. Hernandez and Jenkins have an eight-month-old baby together and lived in North Attleboro, which is the house where police searched and took evidence from after the body was found. Lloyd was located less than a mile from the home and police also searched a pond and wooded area nearby the mansion.
Hernandez was a star when he played in high school in Bristol and he set state records before committing to UConn and he later decided to go to Florida to play for the Gators. He won the best tight end award as a junior and played for a national title team with Tim Tebow before getting drafted by the Patriots. He had some character issues in college with drug tests and a fight and now an alleged shooting, but the Patriots felt he could change and that is why they gave him the contract.
