The NBA offseason is heating up as the summer league is going on in Las Vegas and while the Blazers have started work on a deal with LaMarcus Aldridge to a number of teams, there are also other trade deals that could go down, including ones with Thaddeus Young from the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Sixers are a team in transition and after they decided to move Jrue Holiday, it's clear that Sam Hinkie is rebuilding and starting over, meaning that star Thaddeus Young could be on the move to a number of teams. According to Bleacher Report, the Sixers should seriously consider trading Young and some of the options include the Washington Wizards, Chicago Bulls, Timberwolves or Raptors. Washington appears to be best suited for the deal, as they have draft picks as well as Trevor Ariza and Emeka Okafor that could go in return.

The Sixers are in position to make the deal after trading Holiday and acquiring Nerlens Noel, who many felt would go as the number one pick in the draft, but instead he slipped to six, where the Pelicans drafted him and then flipped him for Holiday. Young could be a solid option for the team after they went after some top free agents and playing alongside John Wall and Bradley Beal could be very beneficial to his game. The 6'9'' forward has good size and athleticism and the move would give the Wizards a good core to build around as they try to compete for one of the bottom spots in the East playoffs.

Last season Young had one of his best performances, averaging 14.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per game along with a career-best 1.8 steals and that defense would be a huge boost to the Wizards as well. Young is not the best three point shooter, but that wouldn't be why he was brought in anyway and his experience could be good for the young Wizards. Other deals could go through as well, but since the Wizards have the contracts of Ariza and Okafor to work with, it might fit into the plans better for the Sixers.

The Wizards likely wouldn't mind moving Trevor Ariza at $7.7 million and Okafor with his $14.5 million contract and the since they will be off the books after next year, it fits for the Sixers and their plans to rebuild. Young is durable and he played in 76 games last season and if a Wizards deal doesn't work out, other options include the Chicago Bulls, Timberwolves or Raptors according to Yahoo Sports.

Last season the Sixers went 34-48 and ranked 30th in points per game in the league while their defense was way better, ranking 9th in the league in points allowed per game. The team is still without a coach and the move with Young could take some time, but it's something that the Sixers likely will explore this summer before deciding whether ort not to pull the trigger.
