The New York Knicks are still looking to improve after ending the season with a disappointing series loss to the Indiana Pacers and with Metta World Peace a free agent now, he appears to be the best option and now the team is also dealing with a slight injury to first round pick Tim Hardaway Jr.

According to ESPN.com, Hardaway suffered a wrist injury while playing in the Las Vegas Summer League and said that the x-rays were negative and that he left fine afterwards. The injury occurred in the first half of the second league game for the team on Sunday and ended up being a bruised wrist. Hardaway wrapped it at the end of the game and said that he should be fine later in the week.

Hardaway has been playing well in the summer league and he had nine points against the Wizards when he got hurt and that came after he led the team in scoring with 13 against the Pelicans in the previous game,. Hardaway said he is using the summer league to help improve his game and so far he has done well handling the ball and using his patience to help set up plays. Coach Mike Woodson said he has liked what he has seen in the summer league from the rookie and that he was impressed how he played against Austin Rivers on Friday and Otto Porter on Sunday.

The Knicks are reportedly interested in signing Metta World Peace after he was released by the Lakers and some reports say that they could also be after Nate Robinson. The Knicks have some more moves they can make and after seeing how Hardaway has played, they have to be impressed by their first round pick.

"I felt great. I'm more confident today. Everything was going smoothly," he said. "I was just upset a little bit because I had to come out and not play the rest of the game. But that's just my competitive nature and I'm happy my team got the win."
