Patriots Rumors and Arrest Issues: Alfonzo Dennard Arrested For DUI As Aaron Hernandez Sits Accused of Murder, Does New England Have A Huge Problem?

Jul 11, 2013 09:50 AM EDT

The Patriots have been dealing with the crime blotter a bit too much lately, as Aaron Hernandez is behind bars on murder charges and now Alfonso Dennard has been arrested for the second time this offseason, being taken in for suspicion of DUI.

According to Pro Football Talk, Dennard was previously sentenced to 30 days in jail three months ago for assaulting a police officer and now he was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. The Omaha World-Herald reports that Dennard was pulled over in Lincoln, Nebraska around 2 a.m. and he was on two years' probation from his previous conviction and he could face an issue now.

Dennard was allowed to wait to serve his sentence until after the season and now this arrest could change that and it also could force the NFL to step in an give him a fine or suspension. The new arrest highlights more problems for the Patriots, who were previously seen as a team that didn't have these types of issues.
