Atlanta Braves Live Stream vs. Miami Marlins: Watch Online, Wednesday Matinee as ATL Goes for Sweep

Jul 10, 2013 12:25 PM EDT

The Atlanta Braves are cruising. Well, not exactly, but they have won two straight games and they look to make it three against the Miami Marlins on Wednesday afternoon. For the Braves, it would be a huge win as they have struggled greatly on the road, posting a 23-25 record when playing away from Turner Field. Here are the pitching matchups and a link that will forward you to MLB.TV's site.

Toeing the rubber for the Braves will be the inconsistent Paul Maholm. He will take his 9-7 record and 3.81 ERA to the mound where he will try to bounce back from a rough start against the Philadelphia Phillies. In his lone start in July, Maholm went six innings surrendering four earned runs on nine hits. If his recent trend is any indication, Maholm looks primed for great outing as he has alternated between surrendering four earned runs and two earned runs in his last five starts.

Opposing Maholm and on the mound for the Marlins will be youngster, Jacob Turner, who is 2-1 with a 2.30 ERA in seven starts this season. He's allowed three earned runs or less in his first six starts and since we're talking about the lackluster Marlins, aside from his ERA, his record doesn't accurately reflect how well he's pitched. Turner will also be looking to bounce back from a rough outing as he was pounded by the St. Louis Cardinals. He went six innings, allowing four earned runs on seven hits. The Braves might be in luck, Turner isn't a strikeout pitcher as he's only struckout 30 batters in his seven starts.

The Braves are rocking the N.L. East and thanks to the Philadelphia Phillies, they are six games up on the Washington Nationals.
