Former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez woke up on Wednesday morning in his North Attleboro mansion, but after being denied bail for the second time at a hearing on Monday, he will be spending the immediate and not-so-immediate future in a 7-by-10 foot cell in the Dartmouth Detention Center .

According to ESPN and NESN.com, Bristol County sheriff Tom Hodgson spoke about the conditions Hernandez will be in now that he is in jail and he took to the radio and also showed on SportsCenter what the cell looks like. He is being held in the medical unit 23 hours per day with one hour for showers and phone calls and the cell has two beds and a small desk. Hernandez is now in a much different place than he was a few days ago, as he was in his mansion with his child and fiance.

Hernandez had a bail hearing on Thursday after he was denied bail on Wednesday after being arrested and he now could spend the rest of his life in jail if he is convicted. Hernandez will be wearing a green jumpsuit while in the House of Corrections since he has not been convicted of his crimes. Hodgson showed off the hallway leading to Hernandez's cell on SportsCenter and showed the cell where inmates are housed after first being brought to the jail.

Hodgson described Hernandez as a "model inmate" to begin his time in jail and said that he seemed fine and not nervous about being locked up. Hernandez will not have much to do in jail yet, as the location has no weights, bleachers or basketball backboards, as they have been donated to local schools. Inmates are aware that Hernandez is there and he could be in lockup for quite some time, as the trial may not start until next year.
