Former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach and current CBS analyst on "The NFL Today" Bill Cowher was involved in a car accident on Sunday afternoon in New York City, according to the New York Daily News.

According to the police reports and eye witnesses, Cowher was driving a black Mercedes-Benz when he was cut off by a woman driving a Ford Fusion going in the same direction near E. 92nd St. Cowher's car then struck the Fusion, sending it into scaffolding and sending construction material all on the streets.

No one was hospitalized as a result of the accident.

Cowher coached the Steelers from 1992 to 2006, leading them to a Super Bowl win in 2005.

Just last month, Cowher watched his daughter, Lindsay, marry former Duke Blue Devils' forward Ryan Kelly. Lindsay became the second daughter of Bill Cowher to marry a famous sports figure, following in the footsteps of her older sister, Meaghan, who married Kevin Westgarth of the Carolina Hurricanes.

Kelly was part of another Duke run to the Elite Eight where the Devils lost to the eventual national champion Louisville, capping off his final season playing under coach Mike Krzyzewski.

In his senior year he averaged 12.9 points per game, which became the highest of his college career. He also won the National Championship in his freshman season with the Blue Devils.
