Tim Tebow signed with the New England Patriots and while that caused a slight media blitz on Bill Belichick and the team, it is nothing like what has been going on with tight end Aaron Hernandez, who is embroiled in a murder investigation.
Tebow was signed to the team as a quarterback and while Belichick has remained adamant about using him in that position, with Hernandez under fire and Rob Gronkowski recovering from a fifth surgery, Tebow could get some time on the field depending how it plays out. Tebow now has taken a backseat to the Hernandez investigation and now that the tight end has had an arrest warrant filed for him for obstruction of justice, the team will have major questions moving forward.
Tebow had a lost season in New York with the Jets after gaining just 102 yards rushing and 39 passing and now that he is in New England things could change a bit. The Patriots have already handled the media better in a week than the Jets did all season and shows why the Jets are a complete mess of an organization, as they simply threw Tebow up in a press conference on day one and let the whole world in, while the Pats simply made some statements and that was it. The Pats have schooled the Jets again and that pathetic organization now will have to watch as Tebow probably will score a touchdown against them this season, just so Belichick can spite his rival.
Tebow works hard in the offseason and he also has his Tim Tebow Foundation, which in partner with the Denver Mattress Company raised $200,000 to help orphanage services worldwide and it is the third time the group has done it, according to the Sacramento Bee. The report says that the company donated money for every mattress sold during a period in May and June and Tebow said he was thankful for the partnership.
Tebow is involved in many charities and other events and he also has speaking engagements throughout the year. Tebow is a polarizing figure and he has been a good soldier so far in New England and it appears that it will be a good fit for the former Broncos quarterback.
