The Chicago Blackhawks are heading to Boston for Game 3 against the Bruins in the Stanley Cup Finals on Monday night after losing the second game in overtime and now the series is 1-1 as the two teams battle for the third time for the championship.

The Blackhawks took the first game in triple overtime after a surprising deflection goal from Andrew Shaw and while the second game wasn't as lengthy, it was just as exciting, as Daniel Paille scored the game-winner after the game went to overtime yet again. The Bruins have looked like the strongest team in either conference throughout the playoffs and they proved why in Game 2, as they were able to comeback from a deficit and also were able to win a game on the goad to give themselves a chance to keep home ice advantage to themselves.

Despite the fact that the Blackhawks are the number one seed in the West, the Bruins now have the advantage as two games are left in Boston and two are left in Chicago, although those two may end up being the most important if Game 5 and Game 7 play out in the series. The Bruins have had to battle throughout the postseason and some might say they shouldn't even be here now, as they were down in Game 7 to the Toronto Maple Leafs with less than 90 seconds to go.

The team was originally down by three goals in that game in the third period and after bringing it from 4-1 to 4-2, the Bruins struck again with less than 90 seconds left. The team scored twice during that span to force overtime in the decisive game and the Maple Leafs were either too stunned or just not good enough, as the Bruins were able to win the game and advance to the next round against the Rangers. The Bruins had no trouble taking down the Rangers after that and jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the series before winning in five.

The Blackhawks had their own hardships, as they were down 3-1 to the Detroit Red Wings and needed to storm back to force a Game 7 matchup at home, which they were able to win in overtime. The Red Wings had chances, but after forcing overtime they were able to win after a fantastic goal from deep from Brent Seabrook and the Blackhawks were thrilled, as they scored a late goal in the third that likely would have been the winner, but it was waved off for a whistle.

The Bruins now have the control in the series despite losing 4-3 in triple overtime in Game 1, as they were able to recover for the Game 2 win. The first game was nuts and saw the Bruins take a 3-1 lead heading into the third period, but after two goals from Chicago, the team was able to force overtime. The team was able to stave off a number of chances with Corey Crawford in net and eventually Shaw put in his game winner. The team got goals from Shaw, Dave Bolland as well as Johnny Oduya and Brandon Saad, while the Bruins got two from Milan Lucic and one from Patrice Bergeron.
