The Miami Heat have evened their NBA Finals series against the San Antonio Spurs with a blowout 103-84 victory in Game 2, with point guard Mario Chalmers providing a spark late in the game.

Chalmers led the charge, while LeBron James broke out to finish with a flurry and the Heat used a 33-5 run to even the series at one apiece.

"I felt like we had them on the ropes at the time. I told him, 'Let's go for the kill,'" Chalmers said. "He said, 'I'm with you.' "

Chalmers finished the game with 19 points, and James had 17 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and three blocks-the highlight being on Tiago Splitter's dunk attempt.

The Heat managed to go 10-of-19 from 3-point range, including five 3-pointers from Ray Allen, and 12 points and 10 rebounds from forward Chris Bosh.

The Spurs' Danny Green scored 17 points, with Tony Parker contributing with 13 points.

The Spurs biggest downfall for the game was at the turnover numbers, having had 17 turnovers that led to 19 Heat points.

"In the second half they just run us over," the Spurs' Manu Ginobili said. "We didn't move the ball at all. Their pressure really got us on our heels."

Tim Duncan added:

"We didn't play well. We didn't shoot well. I know I played awfully," Duncan said. "Whatever it may be, they responded better than us. So hopefully we can look forward to this Game 3 and regain some of our composure."
