Michael Jordan Not Part Of All-Time NBA Starting Five? Karl Malone Leaves Rival Out For LeBron James, Wilt Chamberlain, John Stockton, Scottie Pippen and Oscar Robertson

The history of the NBA is one that people love to debate and one of the toughest questions is who people think is the all-time best and while many feel that is Michael Jordan, former Utah Jazz star and Hall of Famer Karl Malone thinks he doesn't belong in the all-time starting five.

According to ESPN.com, Malone was on the Dan Patrick Show and when he was asked about his choices for the all-time NBA starting five, he left his rival Jordan off the list. Of course Jordan defeated the Jazz in the finals and stopped Malone from ever bringing a title to Utah. Malone picked a number of players that are sure to stoke debate, including LeBron James, Wilt Chamberlain, John Stockton, Scottie Pippen and Oscar Robertson. Malone said that he has a "man crush" on James and that Pippen was selected since he showed his worth by leading the Bulls when Jordan left.

Malone picked Stockton as the point guard, Robertson at shooting guard, Chamberlain at center, James at power forward and Pippen at the small forward position. Malone said the pick would be a shocking one and he was right, but justified it with the fact that Pippen was the focal point when Jordan left. The Bulls won three titles before Jordan left to play baseball and when he returned the team won three more.

Malone is one of the all-time great players and he is second on the scoring list behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who he also left off the starting five. Malone lost two championships in a row to the Bulls and his latest choice is nothing new, as he has left Jordan off when asked about it in the past.
