The New York Knicks had a successful season based on recent team history, but after falling to the Indiana Pacers in the second round after being the number two seed in the East, there could be some big changes coming to the roster.

One possible change could be with point guard Jason Kidd, who showed his age in the playoffs after going scoreless over his last 10 playoff games. According to Pro Basketball Talk, Kidd said that he is still is deciding on whether to return for another season. He is planning to come back, but he said that he is thinking about what to do and over the next week or so he will figure out his plans for next season.

The Knicks were an old team and Kidd showed his age as the third oldest player in the league and after missing his last 18 shots and now scoring at all in the playoffs, the Knicks could be ready to move on. The Knicks have Kidd under contract for two more seasons at his age with a salary of over $3.9 million and that might end up being too much for a player who doesn't score. Raymond Felton had a nice season after coming back to the Knicks and if Kidd comes back he will continue playing as the starter with Kidd coming in from the bench.

The Knicks could get frisky and try to sign Chris Paul, although their financial situation may be too much with Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler and Amare Stoudemire on the books. Paul has said that he would like to stay in LA, but things change and depending on whom the team hires as head coach, he could bolt. Both him and Dwight Howard are going to be free agents and a few years ago it looked like the Knicks had a chance at both, but now they likely will get neither player.

Kidd was awful in the playoffs and after the Knicks lost Game 6 against the Pacers 106-99, their season was done. The team was successful after going 54-28 for their best season in decades, but after washing out of the playoffs again early, it might be time for changes. The team ranked 11th in scoring and seventh in points allowed per game, but they were 30th in assists and 26th in rebounding and those are two areas where Mike Woodson needs to improve for the team to do better next season. There was that wedding toast from years ago with Paul and Anthony and if the point guard isn't liking what he is hearing after the team lost a 2-0 lead on the Grizzlies in the playoffs, he could witch coasts.
