Arizona Cardinals Ryan Swope Dealing With Concussions Says Larry Fitzgerald As Rookie Prepares To Catch Passes From Carson Palmer In New Bruce Arians Offense

The Arizona Cardinals had the worst quarterback situation in the NFL last year after dealing with three mediocre players and now that they have traded for Oakland Raiders starter Carson Palmer, the team is ready to turn the corner in 2013.

New head coach Bruce Arians has brought in a new offense and after drafting wideout Ryan Swope from Texas A&M, the team is ready to breakout with Larry Fitzgerald. The team went heavy on offense during the draft and Swope was one of those picks, although Fitzgerald said that he is missing some time in OTA workouts due to concussions he suffered in college.

Fitzgerald said to ESPN that Swope missed time due to the concussions, which is one reason why he dropped from a third round projected pick to a sixth rounder. Last season the offense was horrendous and ranked 28th in the league in passing yards per game and 32 in rushing, while Kevin Kolb and John Skelton led the team with just over 1,100 passing yards each.

Swope was expected to play in the slot with Fitzgerald and the team went offense in the draft with names like Stepfan Taylor and Andre Ellington at running back to add to their last ranked rushing attack.
