Tim Tebow Rumors: Quarterback Should Consider TV Future On ESPN or FOX Sports One For Football Season As Oakland Raiders, Browns, CFL and AFL Best Options

Tim Tebow is a free agent and can sign with any franchise in the NFL, but so far he has not received any offers apart from ones that he may never respond to, including from the Arena League, Lingerie football league, as well as the CFL and one more destination that could be in his future could be 24-hour sports television.

According to the Daily News, Bob Raissman wrote that if Tebow can't find an NFL team for the 2013 season, he could spend the year working on television for either ESPN or the new Fox Sports channel Fox Sports One, which is debuting this summer and could try to sway the quarterback to join a team that includes Erin Andrews, Joey Harrington and Eddie George for college football coverage. While Tebow may not be a fit for the NFL or even the NFL studio broadcasts, he could be perfect for covering college football or serving as an in-studio personality.

Tebow could serve the same purpose for ESPN, who already proved that they love putting the quarterback on-screen, as evidenced by their embedded unit at Jets camp last year and their constant coverage of Tebow. The network has been one of the main culprits for hyping up the Tebow machine and they could continue doing that by hiring him as a commentator. The ESPN crew of Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso and Desmond Howard already are an entertaining crew when they descend on college campuses and adding Tebow to that mix would only create a rock star atmosphere for the broadcasts.

One thing that could tip the scales in Tebow's favor for ESPN is the fact that the network has a new deal with the SEC to put out an all-conference network and since Tebow is a god-like figure to Florida Gators fans, it could be a match made in heaven for the former national champion and Heisman winner. The network won't debut until 2014, leaving Tebow plenty of time to see if he has an NFL future. Since Tebow's endorsements and money from speaking engagements could be hurt by not being an active NFL player, he could continue to be a prime player by remaining on TV and a celebrity personality.

Tebow had a rough season with the Jets last year and was barely used on the offense, rushing for 102 yards and passing for 39 in the air while playing in 77 offensive snaps. The team traded for him from the Broncos after he led the team to a division title and a postseason win against the Steelers.

Raissman also spoke to an anonymous network executive, who explained that "Tebow wouldn't be the first guy to join a network, them leave, if he had another football opportunity."
