The Los Angeles Kings are right where they want to be. While their series with the San Jose Sharks may be tied up 2-2, the Kings are heading back home for a crucial Game 5. Their success at home is what the team will bank on as they look to take the series lead.

The series is heating up as both teams begin to trash talk after controversial penalties have decided the fate of several games. TJ Galiardi has accused Kings' goalie Jonathan Quick of exaggerating contact with opposing players. He claims the former Conn Smythe Trophy winner made attempts to draw undeserved penalties. The Los Angeles goalie has had one of the more dominating postseasons in recent memoy. He held St. Louis to 10 goals in six games in first round. He has only allowed seven goals in four games with the Sharks, stopping 122 of 129 shot attempts.

The Kings are coming off back-to-back losses in San Jose and will rest on Quick to help them get a much-needed win at home. While Quick might be playing well, the rest of the team cannot seem to back him up with goals. The Kings have scored just one goal apiece in the last five of 10 games. Only two of those goals were even-strength. Most of the players have been out done by the Sharks.

San Jose has all the momentum in the series coming off two straight wins at home. The team is a mere two wins away from their third consecutive Western Conference finals appearance in the last four years. The Sharks know that the sell-out crowds at the Staples Center will not be easy to beat, but they are hoping the momentum caries them to a win.
