Tim Tebow has a new fan in Chuck Norris, who wrote a column saying that the former Florida star should be welcomed to the Jacksonville Jaguars since he is so clutch, but despite the star backing, Tebow was in town for a completely different reason over the weekend.

According to Pro Football Talk, Tebow returned to Jacksonville for a speaking engagement at the New Life Christian Fellowship event the and the quarterback spoke about the things he usually does, faith, loyalty, working hard and believing in your own abilities. While he didn't give off any indications about his NFL future, he spoke to about 750 people and only talked a little about football.

He spoke about his most memorable moment of the season when he was a starter for the Denver Broncos and ironically that was about the Jets, as he came from behind to beat the team nearly single handedly. Tebow led the team back to win 17-13 and while the Jets grossly underused him this year, they should have taken a look at that tape to see what they really had in Tebow at the time.

Tebow often does speaking engagements and religious outreach and while he still downs have an NFL team, there are a number of places where he can fit, including with the Detroit Lions, Arizona Cardinals, Bears, Chargers and the CFL, where he has received an offer. Tebow has also received offers from the Arena League, Lingerie league and others, but nothing from the NFL yet.

While the Jaguars originally tried to trade for Tebow (he should have went there HUGE mistake) the team decided not to take in the Tebowmania and moved no from bringing him in as Shad Khan hired David Caldwell and the team likes Blaine Gabbert. Tony Boselli, a former Jags great, said that the media issues have hurt Tebow and that he has the potential to still be a franchise quarterback in the league. He gained only 102 yards rushing and 39 yards passing as the Jets lied, misused, underused and treated Tebow like crap all season.

"One of my favorite stories, ironically, was against the New York Jets," Tebow said of a Nov. 17 game, a 17-13 Broncos win. "And probably my greatest Jets highlight, I guess."
