Tim Tebow has stayed the course so far and has been unwilling to chance positions to get himself a job in the NFL, as he sees himself as a quarterback in the league, but after the Vikings moved Joe Webb to wide receiver, maybe he will get some inspiration.

The Vikings moved Webb for a number of reasons, one of which that he is lightning fast and that he could help make up for the loss of Percy Harvin in the trade with the Seattle Seahawks, but also to make room for Matt Cassel without relegating Webb to a role that had nothing to do. Adding Cassel and moving Webb now gives the Vikings more flexibility on offense and the move could be something Tebow decides to do one day as well.

The Jets never gave Tebow a chance and while he lined up at quarterback sometimes and was used a decoy mostly, they wasted any opportunity to see what type of player he was. He was on the field for 77 plays and gained 102 yards on the ground and 39 in the air and the organization was never honest with anyone about what they wanted to do, fueling speculation that he was brought there to sell jerseys and PSLs, which was probably true, just don't bother asking the Jets.

The team is utterly dysfunctional and the way they have treated Mark Sanchez has been insane as well, as while he hasn't been a great quarterback, the Jets have progressively given him less and less to work with, taking away playmakers and replacing them with older players while also letting guys he worked with well leave, including Brad Smith. Now they have the while Geno Smith situation to deal with.

Tebow proved that he could be a starter in the NFL by winning games with the Broncos, but even with his playoff success at winning one game, he couldn't get any legitimate offers anywhere else and now team would give him a chance. Since the Jets released him he has received a number of offers, none of them in the NFL, as the CFL, indoor football, Arena football and others have offered him jobs, but so far nada in the big league.

Tebow spent the offseason working out and refining his mechanics and footwork and after training with Chris Weinke and former Jets QB Vinny Testaverde, many have said he looks better than he has in the past. The Jets went 6-10 last season and easily could have given a shot to Tebow, but they were afraid that he would actually win them games and then like Denver, they would be forced to start him. Denver used Peyton Manning as their excuse and now the Jets did the same with Smith, but if Tebow were willing to change positions, to a tight end, receiver of half back, he could give himself new life in the NFL with teams like San Francisco 49ers, Patriots, Bears and Buccaneers.
