Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Memphis Grizzlies Score: Live Updates, Play-by-Play and Stats of Game 3

May 11, 2013 04:49 PM EDT

The Oklahoma City Thunder face the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 3 of their matchup. Don't miss the live action, but just in case you do, follow the live scoring updates and keep pace with the action as the winner of this game takes a 2-1 series lead.

The Thunder are struggling to find help and the Grizzlies are proving to be the challenge many are expecting. They are without a true superstar, but why need a big name guy when you have Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol controlling the paint? Why need a superstar when a Mike Conley can step up in the final minutes of the game and guide your team to victory? Tony Allen is still one of the better defensive players in the league and Tayshaun Prince is holding his own in his new basketball team while playing in the postseason for the first time in almost five years.

Oklahoma City needs help. Kendrick Perkins and Serge Ibaka aren't doing enough to stop the Grizzlies' Gasol and Randolph, while Ibaka isn't scoring or hitting shots the way he's accostumed to doing from the perimeter. The Thunder need somebody to step up as their only hope it to outscore the Grizzlies, rather than try to stop something that's pretty much unstoppable.

The NBA is now finding out how valuable Russell Westbrook is to this team. Long gone are the complaints of Westbrook's wild days shooting and inability to make wise decision with the ball. Reggie Jackson is hold his own as the starter, but Derek Fisher seems to be contributing more on offense as the ageless wonder continues to put up sick numbers in the playoffs. You'd think Fisher was playing for a contract the way he's been hitting shots in the playoffs.

The math is simple, win today and somebody will have the 2-1 lead in the series and be just two games away from the conference finals.
