NBA Playoffs 2013 Predictions: Tony Parker and San Antonio Spurs Must Regroup After Game 2 Loss To Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry Ready To Dominate At Home In Game 3

May 09, 2013 01:51 PM EDT

The San Antonio Spurs made a furious comeback in Game 1 against the Golden State Warriors, but after another lead got away from them, the team could not recover and now the Western conference second round series is tied at 1-1 with Game 3 coming in California.

Klay Thompson led the way with 34 points and 14 rebounds, while Stephen Curry had 22 points and now the Spurs are on their heels as home court advantage is gone unless they can win one away. The Warriors snapped a 30 game losing streak in San Antonio and the team got 13 points from Harrison Barnes to win for the first time in that city since 1997.

Tony Parker had a solid game with 20 points and while Tim Duncan added 23 points and nine rebounds, it wasn't enough for the team to win and now they must regroup. The team had a 19 point lead to comeback from after the 16 point lead in the first game, but this time the Spurs couldn't muster the comeback.

Parker's jumper cut the lead down to 88-82 with seven minutes left but the Spurs never managed to get any closer. Manu Ginobili's 3-pointer with 4:22 left drew the Spurs within six points again but Curry responded and San Antonio missed their next six shots as Golden State closed it out.

Thompson went 8-for-9 from beyond the arc to set a franchise record for made 3-pointers in a postseason game.
