Mark Grace 'Model Inmate' For DUI Arrest As Former MLB All-Star Sleeps In Tent City and Works As Minor League Arizona Diamondbacks Hitting Instructor During Day

Former MLB All-Star Mark Grace is spending time in jail after a second DUI arrest and according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department, he has been a model inmate for his time behind bars.

According to USA Today, Grace was nabbed for driving-under-the-influence and while in jail he has been a model inmate and he has done volunteer work and also helps with other activities. The authorities also said that other inmates in Tent City look up to him and that he is a good influence on them. Grade is serving a four month sentence and he has six weeks left, ending in June.

According to the report, Grace lives in Tent City from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. at night and then works as an Arizona Diamondbacks minor-league hitting instructor at Salt River Fields during the day. He will be back full time after he gets out and when he was pulled over for his second Dui he was fired by the Diamondbacks as a broadcaster.

"He is full time and will be with us long after June 10 (when his sentence ends)," Hall said. "When the Arizona Summer League begins, he will be our hitting coach for that team."
