Chelsea Transfer News: Mourinho Admits He Could Leave Real Madrid; Hints at Premier League Return

Jose Mourinho has dropped the biggest hint yet that he will not be at Real Madrid next season, saying he want to be at a club where "people love me to be."

The Portuguese has been heavily linked with a move back to Chelsea, with several reports suggesting a deal was already in place.

Mourinho has had issues with players in the Real squad, while success on the pitch has not gone according to plan this season, with Barcelona set to win the La Liga.

Borussia Dortmund just knocked them out of the Champions League in the semifinal stage - the third straight time Real have lost in the last-four in Europe's premier competition under Mourinho - and with it ending the Spanish club's hopes of winning the Decima.

The Portuguese has so far refused to be drawn out on his future, but when asked if he would still be a Real Madrid manager come the start of next season, the former Inter Milan boss said: "Maybe not."

"I don't know but I want to be where people love me to be," he added.

The "Special One" has always maintained his love for the English Premier League, which has helped in the mounting speculation of his impending return to Chelsea, with Manchester City also seen as a possible destination.

"I know in England I'm loved," Mourinho told reporters at his post-match press conference following the aggregate loss to Dortmund in the Champions League semifinals.

"I'm loved by the fans, I'm loved by the media that treats me in a fair way, criticising me but giving me credit when I deserve it.

"I know I'm loved by some clubs, especially one, and in Spain, the situation is a bit different because some people hate me.

"Many of you are in this room."

Real Madrid now only have second place in the La Liga and the Copa Del Rey to play for, where they will meet cross-town rivals Atletico Madrid in the final.

Mourinho insisted he would discuss his future only after the end of the season.

"I didn't make a decision because I have a contract," he added. "But more than a contract, because in football contracts you break it when people want to break, is the respect I have for the club and the respect I have for the president.

"That's why I want to play the final, I want to finish the season, I want to try to win the final, I want to try to finish second and at the end of the season I want to sit in front of Florentino Perez -- my president, my friend -- and decide the best for me.

"I like the club, I like the president, I need to be honest and fair and at the end of the season I speak."
