The Texas Rangers have been off to a hot start, just don't call it a smoking one, as manager Ron Washington was caught in the dugout on Sunday smoking a cigarette in an 11-3 win against the Seattle Mariners.

According to Yahoo, the cameras caught Washington in the top of the ninth inning of the game and cut to the dugout for a second before going back to the action on the field. Washington, along with Jim Leyland, is known for his love of smokes, but according to Steve DelVecchio of Larry Brown Sports, the dugout is not one of the designated smoking areas in the ballpark in Arlington.

The Yahoo report brings up that not all players like the smoking, as the New York Daily News wrote in 2010 about Mark Teixeira:

Former teammates and a club executive said Teixeira complained of Washington's penchant for profanity and smoking in the dugout. Washington said those objections never got back to him. But he does remember the confrontation.

"One time I had something to say and he was the guy I said it to," Washington said. "He said something back. And I went right back at him. It was just about the game of baseball, his ideas versus my ideas. But I am the manager."
