Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Jennings may have dug himself into a hole that may prove too hard to escape from, now with the defending champion Miami Heat giving the Bucks their undivided attention, according to The Sun Sentinel.

"If they already had our attention," Heat center Chris Bosh said, "now they have more of our attention.''

Even after claiming to have joked around about his comments about the Bucks winning the series in six, Jennings may have only annoyed the Heat to the point that they'll be out to send a message to other teams this postseason.

Guard Dwyane Wade said that the Heat's mentality changed with the loss of the 2011 NBA Finals and that winning last season's championship motivated the team to achieve something much greater.

"We've got enough motivation in this team," he said. "We have a big goal in mind, what we want to do. We're put together to win a championship. We're not put together to make the playoffs.

"We don't need any motivation from headlines or what a guy says. A guy is supposed to have confidence in his team."

Jennings biggest problem may be with reigning MVP LeBron James, who says he can't figure out why opponents continue to disrespect his team.

"I haven't been able to figure that out, but it is what is," forward LeBron James said. "We fell into that category, of appreciating and respecting our opponents, but getting none back.

"But that's OK. As a veteran ballclub, we understand that challenges that come with the postseason, that come with the whole season."

James was a little more understanding of Jennings comments, saying:

"That's OK," James said. "If they feel that way, they have us in the first round. We'll see how well we match up.

"It's OK to think that way and you can believe that way. They should, though. We're all NBA players for a reason. Teams are put together for a reason to go out and play. I'm not here to take shots at anyone. That's not what we do as a team. We just go about our business and whoever we have in the first round, we'll be ready for them."
