The Boston Marathon bombing story took a wild turn on Thursday night and Friday morning, as the two suspects who were sought by authorities were identified as brothers Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who led police on a chase through the Boston suburbs, leaving the elder sibling dead.

According to the New York Times, one suspect is still at large, while Tamerlan was killed by police in a firefight and may have had explosives on him at the time of his death. The suspects were identified after the FBI released images online Thursday and soon after the two were identified and pursued after committing a robbery at a 7-11 on Thursday night.

Following the robbery a MIT police officer was shot at point blank range by the suspects, who then carjacked a Mercedes jeep in Cambridge and left police on a chase afterwards. They had a hostage in the car before letting them go after a half an hour. The police were able to track the car and went into Watertown, where a firefight ensued and explosives were thrown from the car. Tamerlan was an amateur boxer and athletes and previously was in the 2009 National Golden Gloves competition. He previously was arrested for domestic violence in 2009 for assaulting his girlfriend was identified as suspect two in the photos. Dzhokhar previously was given a scholarship and the two were of origin from Chechnya.

According to the Washington Post, the social media page for Dzhokhar said he graduated in 2011, when he won the scholarship, and he previously attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin School as well as School No. 1 in Makhachkala. On his social media page it reads that his world view is "Islam" and has personal goals of a "career and money."
