The Barclays Premier League schedule for Wednesday includes a number of exciting game, including West Ham United and Manchester United at Upton Park. The two other games are Manchester City and Wigan Athletic, while Chelsea will take on Fulham.

United is first in the standings ahead of Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea, while Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, Liverpool and West Bromwich follow.

The Premier League will also find itself a brand new audience in the United States, as NBC announced on Tuesday their plans for the English and Spanish rights to the most popular soccer league in the world. The network will broadcast all 380 games during the upcoming 2013-2014 season across a number of channels as well as online.

According to the New York Times, the broadcasts will begin on August 17th and the schedule will include live games on NBC, NBC Sports Network, Telemundo, Mun2 as well as a special package that includes extra coverage and online content. The company will also offer an updated app for mobile phones and the deal is set for three years at $250 million. NBC is the most recent network to get into the soccer game, as FOX and ESPN also have lucrative deals to broadcast professional leagues.

Along with the live broadcasts, NBC will have studio coverage and pre game shows, as well as highlight shows and hours of extra content during the week. The NBC Sports Network now feels it can compete with the also recently announced Fox Sports 1, which is a new 24-hour sports network from Fox that will compete with ESPN. NBC will have 20 games on the schedule, while the sports network will broadcast over 150 games. The television coverage will have Arlo White working the play by play after he did the same for the network's MLS coverage, while  Lee Dixon and Graeme Le Saux will serve as the game analysts.
