LeBron James Speaks On Brittney Griner's Game, 'It's Not Fair' (Video)

Baylor University's Brittney Griner recently was drafted No.1 overall by the Phoenix Mercury in Monday's WNBA Draft, and has high expectations on her coming into the league.

With all eyes on Griner coming into her rookie season, she has arguably already become one of the league's popular players, all without scoring her first professional career basket. Her stardom can be compared to that of LeBron James when he was selected No.1 overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2003 NBA Draft.

Griner is talked about among fans of the women's game almost in the same way James was talked about as high-school phenomena, a once-in-a-generation talent.

On her draft day, Griner wore a white suite almost nearly identical to the one James wore in 2003. The WNBA's official Twitter account noticed to coincidence and posted the two pictures side-by-side.

Even though she has yet to begin her pro career, James recently expressed how much of a fan of hers he is. In a recent interview with WNBA.com, the reigning NBA MVP of the Miami Heat compared Griner to Wilt Chamberlain for her complete dominance over her opponents.

If it's any constellation, being that both have so much in common already, it's safe to assume that Griner will live up to expectations.

James has lived up to the pre-draft hype, but time will only tell whether Griner will have similar success in her game.
