Tim Tebow is one of the hardest working players in the NFL, which is one reason why the backup quarterback showed up early on Monday to the New York Jets facility to take part in the first round of voluntary team workouts for the 2013 season.

According to ESPN.com, Tebow arrived an hour before the schedule said players needed to show up and despite the fact that the Jets have made it clear that they want to trade or release him, the quarterback was in high spirits on Monday. Tebow, along with cornerback Darrelle Revis, have been mentioned in trade talks all offseason and despite that, both players were present for workouts on Monday.

Revis had planned on remaining in Arizona to rehab, but like any team that doesn't have any interest in working with a player, the Jets forced him to come because they care about being exacting on his contract rather than do what's best for their best player. Revis received an MRI and was angry with the team since he is trying to get back to full strength.

Tebow likely will be a distraction ay the workouts, but so far he has not allowed the speculation to bother him while working out and he said that hos offseason has been the "best" that he has had. Reports had Tebow working out in Arizona, Tampa and Texas during the offseason, including training with former Heisman winners Vinny Testaverde and Chris Weinke, who helped him with his footwork and mechanics. Tebow had only 102 yards on the ground last season and 39 in the air, as the Jets had no idea how to use him and now have no use for him on the roster.

If Tebow is released he has a number of options to go to, especially since a number of teams still need a solid backup quarterback. One place could be the Buccaneers, where Revis is reportedly going, as Greg Schiano is not sold on Josh Freeman, while the Bears also could be interesting due to his past work with Marc Trestman. The Saints also could be a fit as they lost backup Chase Daniel to the Chiefs and they need someone to sit behind Drew Brees.
